| 3 | Direct requests are an alternative to requesting __[[items >>doc:Glossary.Item.WebHome]]__from a wish list. You can reserve up to five archive reference codes simultaneously. | ||

| 6 | ~1. Select **Merkzettel/Bestellen **(__[[wish list >>doc:Glossary.Wishlist.WebHome]]__/ requests) from the menu and then click on the third tab **Direktbestellung** (direct request). | ||

| 8 | 2. Enter a __[[reference code>>doc:Glossary.Referencecode.WebHome]]__ in one of the five input fields. Please note the information on how to correctly enter reference codes. | ||

| 10 | 3. Click on the next input field or the area outside the fields to activate the **Vorbestellen **(reserve) button. If you are using one of the PCs in the reading rooms at the Federal Archives, you can also press the **Bestellen** (request) button to place an instant order. | ||

| 12 | 4. Click on the **Vorbestellen **(reserve) button and use the calendar function to select the location of the files and a delivery date. | ||
